Nominate a first responder for a quiet weekend away.
Nona’s Watch is a Nona’s Way project created to give a first responder who could use a little room to breathe a weekend of rest, nature, and quiet.
For our inaugural Watch, Tall Pine Grove and Mozark Fishscapes are gifting one selected first responder a two-night stay in the Ozark Mountains and a guided fly-fishing experience.
Nona’s Watch: The Inaugural Getaway
Nominations are open now through September 25.
One selected first responder will receive:
• A two-night stay at Tall Pine Grove near Harrison, Arkansas
• A full-day guided fly-fishing experience with Mozark Fishscapes
• The option to bring one spouse, partner, friend, or guest
• Fishing gear for the guided trip
• Transportation between Tall Pine Grove and the fishing location
The package has an approximate value of $800.
Please Note
Travel to Harrison, Arkansas, meals, fishing license, and guide gratuity are not included.
The getaway must be used by March 1, 2027, with dates subject to lodging and guide availability.
Who Can Be Nominated
Eligible nominees are active-duty or retired first responders who could benefit from rest, quiet, time in nature, and a chance to step away for a weekend.
This may include law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, or others who have served in first responder roles.
How It Works
Nominations will be reviewed privately by a small Nona’s Watch review team. The selected recipient will be contacted privately to confirm interest, eligibility, and availability before any public announcement is made.
This is not a public voting contest. The goal is simply to offer a quiet weekend away to a first responder who could use a little room to breathe.
If selected, the recipient will work with Tall Pine Grove and Mozark Fishscapes to choose dates that fit lodging and guide availability.
